Continue to Shine, Even More!

What people don’t see behind the scenes is not always glamorous. It’s not always exciting or fun to see and it’s not often celebrated publicly.

Because our pain, sorrow, and losses are not always available for public display especially those painful periods in life that someone might be currently going through at that moment.

We fear being judged, criticized and ostracized.

We fear the loss, disappointments, and heartaches.

To quote Oprah Winfrey, when “there is no struggle, there is no strength.”

And this is so true!

I still remember struggling to deal with family lost.

After losing my mom, dad, and middle brother in such short years, I became depressed.

Then combined with being very ill, extreme anxiety to face the world and feeling unworthy, the times of struggles were real!

Those years were dark for me.

I even questioned myself where do I belong in this world.

Although I was already married and had two children when all of this was happening, I felt alone and defenseless.

Yet, with my strong faith and belief, I managed to survive and came out even stronger.

I thought about my family, particularly my children and how I should leave a legacy that someday they would be proud of became my many new missions in life.

If we had no struggles, challenges, and difficulties in life, there would be no need for faith.

We may often have tough times but there’s always our faith, belief, and trust.

And even if you don’t believe in faith, sometimes believing in ourselves is better than none!

When we embrace the struggle in life and ask for help, we become even more powerful.

Continue to be resilient.

Continue to fight for what you believe in.

Continue to achieve true greatness.

And best of all, continue to shine even more!

Thank you for letting me share my short stories on Thursdays.

Be great, my friends.
